Make real food in a real way
Growing up in a single Dad household, we ate for convenience and ease. Then, my grandmother came to live with us. She was the first and most enduring example of the “farm to table” experience — she grew her own vegetables and made everything from scratch. A whole culture, and an awareness of how love is brought to the table was brought into our home. I was fortunate. From that, and my own time in the kitchen, I have focused on a few guiding principles:
